Raisi criticizes international silence on Israel crimes in Gaza
TEHRAN - Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi has condemned the international community’s silence on the Zionist regime’s atrocities in Gaza, highlighting the world’s growing disillusionment with existing mechanisms of global politics.
Raisi made the remarks on Sunday while addressing a gathering of thousands of people in the city of Shahriyar.
He denounced the recent crimes committed by the Zionist regime as a historical shame to morality, law, and humanity.
Raisi stated, "Today, in addition to intense aversion to the Zionist regime and the United States, people worldwide also feel a sense of despair and inefficacy toward all international mechanisms of power."
The Iranian president highlighted the resilience of the people of Gaza, emphasizing the lessons they offer to nations worldwide. He expressed confidence that the collective will and sacrifices of oppressed Palestinian children will contribute to establishing a just global order. “"Undoubtedly, the spilled blood of the oppressed Palestinian children will pave the way for the manifestation of divine retribution and putting an end to the rule of tyrants of our time," he declared.
As the international community grapples with the ongoing Gaza crisis, leaders like Raisi continue to advocate for justice and accountability, urging the world to break its silence and take meaningful steps towards establishing a fair and equitable global order.
Israel imposed a “complete siege” and launched a military assault on Gaza last month after the Palestinian resistance group Hamas carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm into the occupied territories. The October 7 attack by Hamas was in response to the decades of atrocities committed by the occupying regime toward the Palestinian people.
The Israeli air and ground assault, ongoing for seven weeks, has claimed numerous lives, including thousands of children, as reported by Palestinian authorities in Gaza. The siege has severely restricted essential supplies, raising concerns about a humanitarian crisis in the territory.
